And we also saw the cartoon museum!

AAAND I just tried the Wafels and Dinges cart! It was great.

And that’s exactly what happened we mixed up Leuven and Louvain-la-Neuve I think. Definitely could have done more research for Brussels though, from the places we went it’s definitely were we were the most unprepared (also it rained almost the whole time!).

Wafels&Dinges is a cart you should try. And it’s a liege waffle you ate there, what is “on” it is actually some of the grained sugar that got caramelised during the baking of the waffle.
In the center of brussels there is actually a cartoon museum wich holds alot about TinTin too, so you might aswel just have gone there since the difference between Leuven and Louvain-la-Neuve is probably just beyond you ;-)
And the obsession about manneke pis is actually a tourist thing more than a brussels thing fyi… It’s a tale of legend and a nice little figure only tourists care much about.
As far as chocolate goes… In the region you most certainly visited there are only 3 Godiva chocolatiers (now a Turkish company fyi) and since there’s a chocolatier about every 5m in the center of brussels I think you misread some signs. grand Place also has a Neuhaus for example, wich would be my personal favorite…
All in all, I think your visit would have been alot better if you’d have invested some time in research up front and went by the tourist office at the brussels city hall (the nice big building at the grand place)
