Well, hello baby. I’ve posted about the Good Batch, and all the glory that goes along with their stroopwafel ice cream sandwiches. A couple months back I was at the Brooklyn Flea with a hankering for one and one they did not have. I was very sad. But the Saturday before last was the last outdoor Brooklyn Flea in Fort Greene and they had something special waiting for me (and my mom): Pumpkin Cream Pie. It’s soft pumpkin and spice waffle cookies with Maker’s Mark cream cheese frosting filling. Oh ma gawsh. For realsies, peoples. It was so good we bought a second one to take home on our way out. And that is what I have to tell you today. I wonder if the Good Batch will be at Gifted or any of the upcoming winter/holiday Fleas, and I’ll have to keep checking their website to find out.

Of course there was the obligatory stop at the Red Hook Lobster Pound table. My momma’s favorite.

And there is my momma in a very “Brooklyn” jacket! Way to go, mom! (It’s mine. He.)

So… basically I don’t know how many posts I can do about the Brooklyn Flea because there are always 8 million vendors with 8 million things to try and ahh you just have to go! And go hungry!

Til we meet again, Brooklyn Flea in Fort Greene.

And oh yeah – last weekend was Thanksgiving and I was in Detroit. Some good stuff for ya is coming right up.

First things first. I am obsessed with this mirror. So if you go to the Brooklyn Flea next weekend and buy it, I will come after you, break in your window next to the fire escape, and be out in less than seven seconds. You’ve been warned.

Although, its’ not the exact size I want. I want it to be more of a rectangle, but this color is gorgeous to me so I feel like I should just buy it already. I mean, I wanted it months ago and it’s still waiting for me.

Anyway, let’s talk about some snackies, shall we? I freaking LOVE the Brooklyn Flea. LOVE IT.

We had some Red Hook Lobster Pound:

I had one of their mini lobster rolls at the BK Blogs event back in April, so I was more than willing to split an entire roll with my mom. For the record, I also had her try Luke’s over the weekend and her vote went to Red Hook. FYI.

Another lovely, lovely thing we tried was from The Good Batch. And oh my goodness.

Dutch stroopwafels, just like we had in Belgium and Amsterdam! I was so glad to be there with my mom, since we had the stroopwafels together in Europe. And then I saw the sign for the ice cream sandwich!

The. Best. Ice. Cream. Sandwich. I. Ever. Had.

There are no words. And I absolutely hate that phrase. Basically, you need to get yourself to the Brooklyn Flea, not buy my mirror and instead have snacks from Red Hook Lobster Pound and The Good Batch. Maybe a People’s Pop, too.

I also bought these fancy shoes from Guatemala:

They probably cost a $1.50 in Guatemala, but let’s be honest… am I going there any time soon? Probably not. Probably never! So I’ll pay a pretty penny more for some lovely shoesies. Now I just have to break them in so they stop giving me blisters!
